Brief Introduction

Liquid-solid separation technology and the related equipment are the essential factor to drainage treatment process. Dissolved air flotation is the most effective method for removing the tiny pollutants from the waste water.

Superficial DAF in paper mill is also called shallow DAF in paper mill or circular DAF in paper mill. It's the main treatment device in water purification system. It mainly used for remove SS--suspended solids and reduce the COD in the waste water.

Working Theory

Superficial DAF in paper mill is designed according to Zero Speed Principle and Shallow Pool Theory.

First of all, the depth of the tank is just 750-950mm. The influence from the equalization tank is pumped into the circular DAF tank after coagulation and flocculation. The rotating system with distributor, scum skimmer and collecting pipes is driven for anti-clockwise rotation while the influence comes at clockwise direction. In this way, the water speed in the tank is zero relatively. The micro bubbles generated by GFA dissolved air system would mix the flocculation and float onto the surface. The depth of the tank is just 750-950mm, which can separate liquid and solids effectively. The scum is scrapped by the rotating skimmer into the central scum slot and falls down the sludge tank downstairs. The clean water is collected and flow into the clean tank. Electric cabinet control all the elements and it just take 3-5 minutes to purify the waste water.
